ABOUT THE JURORS: DAVID NEWMAN is an artist working in photography, with additional work in printmaking, works on paper, painting and digital imaging. His photographs have been published in the U.S. and abroad, including Germany, Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil. He is particularly concerned with the interaction of studio practice and the theory and philosophy of art. Mr. Newman is the Visual Arts Coordinator / Gallery Director and teaches fine arts photography and printmaking courses at Brookhaven College in Dallas. WORKS

McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas, Texas. CAROLYN BROWN is a fine arts photographer who has used her life and career to document some of the world's most beautiful scenery, natural and man-made. For the last decade, her work has taken her throughout Central America, Mexico and the Southwestern United States for her exhibit "Sacred Space: Man and the Divine." Through the years, Ms. Brown has received travel grants to photograph in Iraq, Rwanda, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Lebanon and Syria. In June 1994, Ms. Brown is an Associate at the Institute for the Study of Earth and Man at Southern Methodist University, Dallas. She is also an instructor at the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, Dallas. WORKS

GREEN is a sculptor who lives in an old church in Wylie, Texas with his wife, Amy. Mr. Green currently serves as the President of the Texas Sculpture Association, a group of over 200 sculptors. In addition to his sculptures, Mr. Green also makes furniture and sets and props for several dance and theater companies. Mr. Green's award-winning artwork has been displayed in several galleries and art centers throughout the country. WORKS
