Twelve
local theater companies will descend on the Bath House Cultural
Center again this July for the Fifth Annual Festival of Independent
Theatres.
Performances are grouped into "blocks" of two or three
plays, presented in rotating repertory.
FIT
was created as an outlet for smaller companies without a permanent
home. The Festival setting gives the theaters an opportunity to
produce works they might not otherwise be able to incorporate
into their seasons.
Most of the shows are presented on the Bath House stage, though
this year's festival features an outdoor, late-night performance,
and a family musical matinee.
