Historical photography by Douglas (Jack) Sprague, Professor of Communication Design at the

School of Visual Arts - University of North Texas

 

For the past decade, this Art Director/Graphic Designer has traveled numerous times to Berlin and Eastern Europe

to photographically document the revolutionary changes that have evolved with the collapse of Communism.

The Berlin Wall was and still is a significant symbol of the global power struggle that developed between the East and the West.

"In December and January 99/2000, I returned to Berlin, Germany to photo-document the New Year's Eve Millennium celebration. This was the final phase in a dramatic, historical photographic journey that began for me ten years earlier."
