YLLA by David Goodwin
PROJECT X
In this first installment of David Goodwin's new stage adaptation of Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles (which collectively tell the story of Earth's conquest of Mars), YLLA begins just prior to mankind's first arrival. Told from the perspective of a Martian housewife - man's first steps on the red planet unfold not as a triumph of exploration, but as a private domestic tragedy in the lives of Ylla and Yll. Performed with permission of the author. YLLA © 1949, renewed 1977 by Ray Bradbury. Directed by David Goodwin
